RS 457 Manufacture
Hey there, motorcycle enthusiasts! Just a couple of weeks ago, Aprilia pulled the curtains off their latest creation, the RS 457 – a brand new middleweight sportbike designed to compete with the likes of the Kawasaki Ninja 400 and KTM RC 390. Exciting news, right? Well, there’s more!
This new beauty will be manufactured right here in India at Aprilia’s plant in Baramati, Maharashtra. To make things even more thrilling, the Italian brand gave us a sneak peek of the bike just before the Indian MotoGP round this weekend.

At the event, we had the pleasure of seeing Aprilia’s MotoGP stars, Maverick Vinales and Aleix Espargaro, who played crucial roles in developing and testing the RS 457. Also, in attendance was Diego Graffi, CEO & MD at Piaggio India. However, Aprilia didn’t spill all the beans about this exciting new bike.

While the price is still under wraps, Graffi hinted that pre-bookings for the RS 457 will open soon. When asked about availability, he shared that Aprilia plans to roll out the bike in Tier 1 and 2 cities across the country in the next 12 months.

RS 457 Rivals and Pricing
Now, let’s talk money! On one hand, this motorcycle will be produced locally and will feature many parts sourced from India. For instance, the tires come from TVS Eurogrip. However, keep in mind that this is a twin-cylinder bike with some pretty high-end components. Aprilia is known for positioning itself as a premium brand, so we can anticipate the RS 457 to land somewhere between the KTM RC 390 (priced at Rs 3.18 lakh) and the Kawasaki Ninja 400 (priced at Rs 5.19 lakh), leaning closer to the latter in terms of pricing.

Exciting times lie ahead for the Indian motorcycle scene with Aprilia’s RS 457 making its way into the market. Keep an eye out for those pre-bookings, and get ready to see this Italian beauty hit the streets in the coming months!
